Sativa and Indica experiences vary on a lot of factors

Understanding the differences between these strains is essential for anyone looking to explore the world of cannabis, whether for recreational or medicinal purposes. But what are the differences between these varieties, and how do you choose the best one for you? In this article, we will explain the basics of the three main cannabis strains: Sativa, Indica, and Hybrid, and help you choose the best one you need.

THC and CBD

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are two substances found in the Cannabis plant. Although both chemical compounds interact with our body and brain cannabinoid receptors, these essences can have different effects.

THC is responsible for hallucinogenic effects when consumed. Depending on the strain and dose, the effect of THC may help with enhancing creativity, mood elevation, alleviating pain, or reducing anxiety.

On the other hand, CBD is a chemical compound found in the cannabis plant that does not produce a high. It interacts with the human body’s endocannabinoid system, an important biological system in the body that helps regulate and balance key bodily functions. Studies suggest that CBD offers several health benefits such as dealing with anxiety, insomnia, and chronic pain.

However, and this is very important, it is worth noting that several factors can affect the impact of THC and CBD content of cannabis strains, including the source, cultivation methods, and processing techniques. More so, the age, environment, and genetics of a person also play a role. This is why every strain may have different effects on everyone.

Types of cannabis strains and their differences

Strains are varieties of cannabis plants that have different and unique properties. Think green and red apples. These strains may differ in characteristics such as appearance, aroma, taste, and its effects on the body.
